The History Group meet every 2nd Thursday afternoon in a Host's house in Prudhoe. Each month a member researches, prepares, and presents a subject of their choice for the group, and discussion follows. Here is an example of some of  the subjects shared to date: Old Houses in Newcastle, History of Cyprus, John Wesley, Roman Britain, The Reformation, Marie Antoinette, The Great Plague, The Great Reform Act, The History of Cotton, Slavery in the North East, The Great Exhibition, History of the Team Valley, Thomas Cromwell, Border Reivers, Suffragettes, and many more.
