Title ; Exploration of the UK Temperance Social Movement in the 19th Century .

The UK temperance movement was a powerful 19th-century social movement that campaigned against alcohol consumption, advocating for moderation and, later, total abstinence, or teetotalism. Primarily driven by religious nonconformists and concerned Victorians, it addressed what was widely seen as the root cause of poverty, social degradation, and family hardship among the working classes. Join us as we explore the history, implementation and ultimate demise of this social experiment in the United Kingdom.
